Lakeside is a member church of the Presbyterian Church in America (P.C.A.) which has nearly 2,000 congregations nationwide. The P.C.A. was founded in 1973 with a desire to have a church that would be "true to the Scriptures, the Reformed faith, and the Great Commission of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ." This vision has resulted in a vibrant, growing denomination rooted in the great historical traditions of the Protestant church, while maintaining a relevant, practical application of God’s word to daily life in the 21st century.
You’ll find Lakeside to be a family friendly church (feeling at times as if the children outnumber the adults!). Whether it is singing the hymns and choruses of praise to God, receiving instruction through the preaching of the Word and Bible studies, or gathering on the church grounds for a picnic, the family of God at Lakeside enjoys a fellowship in the Lord that we are eager to share with others.
Our desire is to serve the Metroplex by seeing a community of faith in Christ committed to supporting one another in establishing the God-given standards and principles designed to bless the life of every person in every home. This desire is summarized in our vision: "Reaching out with the truth of God’s Word, through the love of God’s Son, for the praise of God’s glory."

History of project
Lakeside has been sending out mission teams since 1998! Our teams have served at orphanages in Reynosa and Acapulco, Mexico, and with our sponsored missionaries in Guadalajara and Monterrey, Mexico, and doing disaster relief in Georgia, USA. In 2012 we started building a relationship with a Presbyterian church in northern Belize and will continue serving with them in 2013.
